YZMP's new assembling & commissioning workshop launched

On July 13, the new assembling & commissioning workshop of Zhuhai Yuchai Zhuhai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YZMP), South China's first low-speed high-power marine engine manufacturer, was launched in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province, marking Yuchai's new firm step in the journey towards the international ocean vessel engine industry, further consolidating Yuchai's industry role as a professional engine supplier with the most complete and widest range of engine products.

newly launched assembling & commissioning workshop will manufacture full electric control common rail low-speed marine diesel engines with power ranging from 3,475kW to 21,780kW, which can be applied to vessels such as bulk carrier, container vessel, oil tanker and engineering vessel ranging from 10,000DWT to 150,000DWT. It took only over 200 days from the driving of the first pile to the launch of the workshop.

Liu Xiaolong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhuhai Municipal Committee and first deputy mayor of Zhuhai, extended congratulations on the workshop's fast launch, disclosing that the city will release the diesel engine industry development plan to further boost YZMP's growth.

YZMP's project is a major strategic step of Yuchai in an effort to develop the vessel market, with the successive introduction of Yuchai's full series of marine engines to the market, by the end of the "twelfth five-year" period, Yuchai will gain a full say in the international ocean vessel engine industry to play a greater role in promoting the development of the Chinese vessel cause, said Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group.

Yuchai should seize the opportunity and accelerate development to become a leading marine engine manufacturer in China and promote the accomplishment of Yuchai's strategic object of building an "aircraft carrier" with annual sales of RMB 100 billion, said Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group.

Jiang Shihong, chairman of YZMP, thought the construction miracle of YZMP is the best interpretation of the efficiency of Zhuhai Special Economic Zone and the iron spirit of Yuchai, and fully demonstrates Zhuhai and Yuchai's resolution and confidence to vigorously develop low-speed marine diesel engines.

Up until now, Yuchai has introduced high-speed and medium-speed marine engines to the market. As the commanding height of marine engines, Yuchai's low-speed high-power marine engines will boost the market role and influence of Yuchai's marine engine series, as well as the high-speed and medium-speed marine engine products and markets of Yuchai.

Leaders, including Jiao Lansheng, Party secretary of the CPC Doumen District Committee and Wang Hong, chief engineer of Yuchai Group, were present.

At the subsequent middle & high-level meeting of YZMP, Yan pinned great hope on YZMP's team, noting low-speed engine is a very important manufacturing field of Yuchai, Yuchai will provide generous benefits for technical experts and industrial workers in this field, and will provide good housing guarantee for workers in Zhuhai with the strong support of the municipal government. With everything set, YZMP's team should only make breakthrough with the awareness of unexpected development, should be strategically confident and tactically scrupulous, and should always be prepared for eventualities to create more miracles in the future.

So far, YZMP has basically unfolded its overall marketing network and completed the construction of offices in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, etc. The company has concluded sales contracts with six customers, and is scheduled to deliver the first low-speed high-power marine diesel engine manufactured in South China late this year as the first step to fulfill the strategy of "becoming China's first marine engine brand".
