On 10^th November, the Aurora, independently innovated by SUNWARD-TECH successfully took the first stage of flight test at the Tao Huayuan Airport, Changde,

SUNWARD-TECH Aurora, which has own intellectual property rights is an initiation of light sport aircraft in China, as well as the first light sport aircraft with airworthiness certificate in China. As a key process of evidence obtaining for civil aviation airworthiness, this flight test has been supported by many government departments and offices. Leaders from South Central Office of Civil Aviation Administration of China, Hunan Safety Oversight & Administrative Office of Civil Aviation Administration of China and Changde airport supervised the whole test course. SUNWARD president He Qinghua came to the airport and boarded Aurora to experience the flight test.

Following this flight test, SUNWARD-TECH will carry Aurora SA60L, the light sport aircraft with self-owned brand and intellectual property rights to Zhuhai, to attend The 8^th Chinese Air show on 16^th November and have a demo flight . That is a symbol of new page for Chinese light sport aircraft innovation.

In October 2008, Aurora SA60L which is innovated by Hunan SUNWARD Science Technology Co. Ltd. rolled off line. This aircraft adopts composite material and is mould manufactured. Equipped with original imported engine, screw propeller and instrument, Aurora can be widely used for fly training, tourism ,sports and recreation , as well as aerial photography, application to agriculture and forestry. The competitive price makes Aurora a good option for the entry–level enthusiasts’ of Chinese general aviation.

SUNWARD-TECH had sent its first light sport aircraft to Italy for a flight test in 2008, and received Italy airworthiness certificate in 2009. At November 2009, SUNWARD-TECH officially applied for Chinese airworthiness certificate for light sport aircraft from Civil Aviation Administration of China. Soon the Authentication request was accepted, which makes SUWNARD-TECH become the first participator and promoter for light sport aircraft airworthiness authentication in China. In April 2010, a panel of experts from Civil Aviation Administration of China came to SUNWARD-TECH for authentication. After six months of theory examination, calculating, verifying, static test and flight test, SUNWARD-TECH Aurora SA60L, the 2 seats light sport aircraft obtain recognition. The first Chinese airworthiness certificate for light sport aircraft will be awarded to SUNWAR-TECH in 2010.

According to SUNWARD-TECH general manager Yi Yu’an, taking part in the Chinese biggest special comprehensive air show is an important step for SUNWARD-TECH strategy for developing and promoting self-own aviation brand.
