Yuchai Chairman Yan Ping surveys Chongqing

On April 7, a delegation headed by Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, headed to Chongqing on a survey for investment in marine engine and generator series. Huang Qifan, mayor of Chongqing, met with the delegation and exchanged views on cementing cooperation.

At the seminar, Huang briefed the delegation on the development of Chongqing and Chongqing Liangjiang New Area (LNA), saying Chongqing is at a new development stage, is pressing ahead with urbanization, industrialization and urban-rural integration, has formed great space for market development and created a broad stage for corporate development. LNA is the inland's only national new development area with the country's best investment environment. Chongqing's "five engines" for economic development are all in LNA--airport, port, Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe Railway, China's fourth export communication hub and inland financial center. Particularly, Chongqing's shipbuilding industry, largely concentrated in LNA, boasts a scale of 20 billion yuan and is expected to increase the scale to 40 billion yuan. Yuchai is welcome to invest and develop in Chongqing.

Yan briefed Huang on Yuchai's development, saying Yuchai is growing fast and expected to achieve an output value of 100 billion yuan by the end of the "twelfth five-year" period. Currently, Yuchai's marine electric sector is rising: in Zhuhai, Yuchai joined hands with Wartsila to establish Yuchai Zhuhai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YZMP) that manufactures low-speed large-power marine diesel engines; in Ziyang, Yuchai and CSR jointly invested in CSR Yuchai Sichuan Engine Co., Ltd. that develops and manufactures medium and high-speed engines applicable to automobile, locomotives, ships and onshore power generation. Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) in the headquarters of Yuchai is the manufacturing base for high-speed marine engines. Guided by the strategy of starting up with the world, Yuchai's marine electric business grasped the pulse of the domestic market, occupied the commanding height of development of the domestic marine electric business, and kept manufacturing various marine engines meeting market demands by virtue of outstanding technologies. On March 23, W-6X35 was delivered to the customer as the world's first intelligent low-speed marine engine manufactured by YZMP. On March 30, YM released 12VC, 12VT and 8C, three new heavy-duty high-speed marine engines that integrate the advanced technologies of the world's four renowned internal combustion engine research institutes and own independent intellectual property rights. Introducing new products continuously marks Yuchai enjoys strong technical superiority and competitive edge in the marine electric field. 　　

Yuchai expects much of the development trends of Chongqing and LNA, Chongqing's equipment manufacturing has been developing rapidly and created a rare historical opportunity for Yuchai to develop the central and western market, said Yan, adding, in view of Chongqing's favorable investment environment and the need of Yuchai's development strategy, Yuchai proposed to cooperate with Chongqing Rato Power Co., Ltd. and believed the cooperation will succeed.

On April 8, Yan Ping, Li Hanyang and Tang Zuoxing visited Chongqing Rato, discussing with Zhu Liedong, chairman of Chongqing Rato, about future cooperation.
