SANY Shines at International M&T Expo in Brazil

From May 29 through June 2, 2012, SANY sold more than 125 pieces of equipment at the triennial Brazil International Construction Machinery & Mining Machinery Exhibition (M&T Expo) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As the largest construction equipment event in Latin America, the occasion attracted more than 430 exhibitors, and SANY Brazil displayed 14 cranes and excavators in its 2,420 square-meter booth. SANY also invited all of the company’s dealers and customers in Brazil and other Latin American countries in an effort to enhance brand awareness and increase sales in the region.

Enjoying Refreshments and Talking Business

SANY received more than 6,000 visitors at the recent M&T Expo in Brazil, where the company placed eight excavators, one motor grader, one after-sales service vehicle and four cranes on display.

During the five days of the exhibition, numerous tourists and competitors stopped to see the accuracy and agility of SANY’s equipment. Each hour, SANY’s loudspeakers announced the beginning of a new show, and at one point, the company arranged for two excavators to perform a stunt.

With more than 2,000 square meters of area, SANY’s booth was one of the largest and featured 600 square meters of performance area, which became a highlight of the exhibition. SANY also provide visitors with an exciting aerial stunts show. Acrobats Helen and Kátia were lifted by an 80-ton crane and performed at a height of eight meters.

Enjoying the happy hour in SANY Brazil’s booth, Empremon representative Manoel Adorno remarked: “I’m really happy to complete the purchase of a SANY machine and find a good place to chat with friends.”

After closing time each day, after other brands’ booths had shut down, SANY Brazil’s space still bustled with activity. In the accompaniment of SANY music band, customers still held a bottle of beer in hand and talked business.

Increasing Brand Influence

On May 29, Consulate General in Sao Paulo Sun Rongmao and Deputy Consul General Hu Ying visited SANY’s booth at the M&T Expo. Confident about SANY’s future development, Sun Rongmao praised SANY’s localization in Brazil and said the company has enhanced the international image of Chinese manufacturing.

On that day, SANY Brazil Marketing Director Yu Miao accompanied Sun Rongmao to view the excavator show and discuss SANY’s localization efforts over the latest three years.

Sun Rongmao has taken a great interest in learning about SANY’s development and the lessons learned from cross-cultural management experiences. He praised SANY’s achievements and presented a several suggestions on further localization.

In 2011, Party Secretary of the Consulate General Hu Ying led all party members of Consulate General to SANY Brazil and wrote highly of SANY Brazil’s efforts. After visiting SANY’s exhibition booth, she again praised SANY Brazil.

On June 1, Mayor Hamilton of Jacarai visited SANY’s booth and spoke highly of the company’s performance in the exhibition, particularly the 3D demo video of SANY Brazil’s new facility. After watching video, he marveled that SANY Brazil’s factory is more like a garden, and thought it might be the most beautiful facility in Brazil.

The Dance of the Dragon and the Elephant —Norbert Scheuch, CEO of Putzmeister, Enjoys Operating a SANY Excavator

The "Dance of the Dragon and the Elephant" is the buzzword of the year in China’s construction machinery industry. At the M&T Expo, SANY’s booth closely paralleled with Putzmeister’s, and concrete machinery customers patronized both companies’ floor space. After Putzmeister CEO Norbert Scheuch watched the excavator show at SANY’s booth, he also operated SANY’s SY55 excavator.
