Liebherr once again main sponsor of the Stihl® Timbersports® World Championship

For the second time, Liebherr was the main sponsor of the Stihl^® Timbersports^® World Championship, which took place on 25 and 26. October 2013 in Stuttgart, Germany.

At the 9th Stihl^® Timbersports^® World Championship, 120 top competitors took part in front of more than 10,000 spectators at the sold-out Porsche Arena. The team competition, with 23 countries taking part, was held on Friday, and 14 athletes took part in six disciplines in the individual competition on Saturday.

Among others, Liebherr sponsors Jason Wynyard, the five-time World Champion from New Zealand, who took fifth place in Stuttgart. Liebherr also sponsored Team Australia, which came third in the team competition.

The Stihl^® Timbersports^® Series is the world’s leading competitive woodcutting series. It was founded in 1985 by Stihl, the maker of high-quality chainsaws and logging equipment. The individual and team world championships take place once a year as part of these championships.

Brad De Losa from Australia takes the title of world champion, ahead of Matthew Cogar (USA) and Martin Komarek (Czech Republic)
