A Zoomlion ultra-high-pressure pump has been used for the first time on a new landmark in Changsha—Wharf Holdings' International Financial Center (IFC).
At 9pm on October 15th, Zoomlion's ultra-high-pressure pump was used for the first time on the construction of Wharf Holdings' IFC in Changsha. The project has a construction area of 980,000 m² and it will be the tallest building in Changsha with the second deepest foundation pit in China, making construction rather difficult.
Being the tallest building in Changsha, the IFC project requires C70 high-strength concrete to be pumped up to 452 meters, with a maximum pouring volume of up to 1,800 m³. For such a difficult high-volume pouring project, the R&D center carried out simulation analysis for the actual configuration when the plan was produced, and using an ultra-high-pressure pump database for verification, selected a HBT90.48.572RS ultra-high-pressure pump, which is more stable than those used on the Guangzhou International Financial Center and the KingKey Financial Center in Shenzhen, in order to guarantee completion of the pumping work. The pump is a closed system, so direction changes have zero impact, which extends the service life of wearing parts.
A Zoomlion team is stationed at the IFC construction site in Changsha to oversee the equipment's layout, installation and stability and to prepare for construction and carry out test pumping, as well as to ensure the pump's debut runs smoothly.
With the development of China's cities, high-rise buildings are sprouting up constantly, which is driving demand for pumping equipment. Most high-rise buildings are built in city centers, exerting greater requirements on the flexibility, reliability and energy saving aspects of the equipment. Zoomlion will focus on accumulating and using its pumping experience on high-rise construction projects to optimize product suitability according to customer needs and ensure product quality to provide customers with comprehensive solutions.
