Yuchai Machinery Boasts of Superior Quality

On March 1, the repair factory of Xuzhou Transportation has been quite lively: On that day, Xuzhou Transportation has recognized the driver of the bus with Yuchai engine which had no heavy repair after running 0.7 million km. Meanwhile, in order to get a better understanding about the condition of the engine after being used, Xuzhou Transportation has specially disassembled such an engine and made analysis.

The leaders of Xuzhou Transportation have attached a great importance to the disassembling and analysis of the Yuchai engine which has run about 0.7 million km with no heavy repair and assigned the maintenance department, repair factory and office of Xuzhou Transportation to form a disassembling team to ensure the accurate and reliable data of the disassembling and analysis. The principals on the spot include Cheng Long, Director of the Maintenance Department, Zhang Cunke, Director of the repair factory, Deng Kai, the Chief Technical Master of Yuchai combustion motor repair and Li Youning, Service Manager of Yuchai office in Xuzhou.   

Xuzhou Transportation has purchased and equipped Yuchai engines for the buses since 2006. By now, there is a full array of buses about more than 600 sets equipped with Yuchai engines. The engine being disassembled and analyzed is one of the 15 Yuchai 6J210-20 engines. (Production date: July 7, 2006).  The team leader reflected that the 15 buses all have run more than 0.7 million km and most of them are still in good condition.  They said, " after using the new buses, we maintained the engine with Yuchai Huayuan filter and Yuchai engine oil by sticking to the principle of "Maintaining rather than repairing" according to the trainers of Yuchai office and the engines have basically not been repaired, let alone the heavy repair. And the engines they had used from other manufactory need heavy repair due to the declining driving force and large exhaust or even need to be scraped. The purpose of disassembling is to further confirm the practical use of Yuchai engine and set the time limit of the reasonable heavy repair (mileage).        

During the process of disassembling, people mainly inspected and analyzed the wear of the main friction pieces including four engine supporting sets, crank journal, bearing bush. Through the inspection, they all thought that although the engine has run for more than 0.7 million, the main components are still in good condition and can continue to be used. 

Cheng Long, Director of Maintenance Department of Xuzhou Transportation, was delighted after the inspection and said, "it is better to see for one time rather than to hear for many times. I have heard the cases of the Yuchai engines having run for 0.7 to 0.8 million km without any heavy repair and I thought it was hard to believe and now I was so impressed by that when I saw it myself. The Yuchai Machinery is fabulous! "
