Kick-off for new aerospace research institute in Toulouse

Beginning of October, over 400 people - professionals from the aerospace community as well as many local authorities - attended a ceremony in which the name of the new technological research institute “IRT Saint Exupéry” (previously IRT AESE) in Toulouse, France, was revealed. At the same time, the starting phase of the first research projects was celebrated.

The institute will be located temporarily on the campus of the University Paul Sabatier in Toulouse and will move later on to a dedicated area at the Montaudran Aerospace Campus. Its objective is to mutualize public and private research for the development of future technologies within the scope of embedded systems for aerospace and other industries, more electrical aircraft technologies and non-metallic materials for aerospace.
