On January 6, Yuchai Lubricant Co., Ltd. (YL) held 2012 Marketing Conference themed "confidence builds opportunities, collaboration creates value" in Changsha, Hunan Province. More than 180 distributors from around the country got together to summarize experience and map out a development strategy. Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, was present. Among other attendees were Han Yiyong, secretary to the board of directors of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM); Wang Limin, deputy general manager of Yuchai Sales Co., Ltd. and relevant leaders of Yuchai Machinery Monopoly Development Co., Ltd. (YMMD)

Xie Yuqiang, chairman of YL, summarized marketing work in 2011 and gave a marketing strategy report for 2012. The report noted the year 2011 is an extraordinary year when YL underwent dual market situation. The company overcame the market slump in the second half, made united efforts to occupy the market, met the annual business target earlier, achieved sales of RMB 3.067 billion, up over 22% year on year, and ranked first in profit ratio and fourth in sales revenues among Yuchai's subsidiaries, hitting new high. Also, the report noted YL's several highlights in 2011, including continuous growth of high-end oil products, preliminary effects of product cultivation, constant sharpening of competitiveness, prominent effects of key account development, significant effects of experience marketing, constant improvement in service capacity and intensification of fake product crackdown and right safeguard. Parallel development of several sectors makes YL achieve satisfactory results in 2011.

Yan spoke highly of YL's business performance and effortful collaboration with all distributors in recent years, acclaiming YL as one of Yuchai's best sectors and subsidiaries with the best performance in 2011. YL should make efforts in two aspects in order to accomplish sustained, healthy and rapid development in the future. In the first place, YL should map out a strategy, take a road of internationalization, and introduce advanced international management concepts and foreign strategic partners; in the second place, YL should create a loyal and win-win upstream and downstream industry chain, establish fair and equal market order, standardize the price system and eliminate selfish behavior by formulating scientific business policies to create a reasonable and healthy market competition environment. Yan stressed Yuchai will spare no efforts to mobilize strength to support YL's development. All entities closely related to YM and YMMD should support YL by actual deeds, and all suppliers of the sales system should, under the leadership of YL's business body, establish confidence and cooperate with sincerity to jointly accomplish the business objective in 2012, achieve greater success and contribute to the implementation of the "twelfth five-year" strategic plan of Yuchai. Wang gave a market analysis report for 2012 and came up with the strategy of cooperating with YL.

At the conference, YL awarded collaborative and contributive distributors in 2011. Several outstanding distributors were invited to share experience and introduce growth experience and business highlights. They thanked Yuchai for offering them a great stage for business development. At Yan's encouragement, they were more confident of going all-out for Yuchai's business development and to assist YL in meeting all targets.
