On September 8, headed by Alex Ismail, president and CEO of Honeywell Transportation Systems; Pasquale Abruzzese, vice president of the Integrated Supply Chain of Honeywell and David Paja, vice president of Honeywell Turbo Technologies and Emerging Markets, a delegation of eight members visited Yuchai. Leaders including Chairman Yan Ping, General Manager Wu Qiwei and Chief Engineer Shen Jie warmly met with the delegation. The two sides reached a consensus on deeper and wider cooperation, and concluded a new strategic agreement and a confidentiality agreement.

Honeywell is one of the world's top 100 diversified and advanced high-tech manufacturers, whose global business covers aviation products and services, building, family and industrial control technology, automotive products, turbocharger and special materials. Its operation in China dates back to 1935. Currently, Honeywell's four business groups have settled in China, Asia-Pacific head offices of all its business departments have transferred to China, and it has established branches and joint ventures in 20 Chinese cities.
Honeywell, which has maintained cooperation with Yuchai for a dozen years, is Yuchai's first supplier of turbo charging systems. In 2008, Honeywell carried out "Honeywell Technology Day", and entered into a strategic agreement with Yuchai.
During the visit, the delegation also conducted a field inspection of Yuchai's production at Yuchai's product laboratory, heavy engine processing workshop and heavy engine assembly & commissioning workshop. Following the visit, the two sides held talks at Power Building. At the meeting, Wu introduced Yuchai's production and sales in 2011, production technology level and "twelfth five-year" plan, and conferred with the delegation on matters such as connectors, sealing and assembly of turbo chargers. The delegation said the visit has further consolidated their cooperation confidence, and pledged to make utmost efforts in cooperation. Also, the two sides exchanged ideas on establishing a united development team to tackle technical problems and enhance product performance.
