Yuchai machinery ranks among "2011 Outstanding Commercial Engines"

On December 9, 2011, the award ceremony for Kunlun Lubricant "China Heart" 2011 Ten Best Engines, sponsored by Auto Sports, opened at InterContinental Hotel Beichen in Beijing. This year, the event included in the category of commercial vehicle engine for the first time, and presented the special award for "2011 Outstanding Commercial Engines" to "Yuchai Machinery" in the sponsor's name. In the course of review, the judging panel commented on YC6L-40 8.4L diesel engine as follows: YC6L is a new-generation high-efficiency professional engine as well as a high-efficiency, fuel-conserving, low-noise, environment-friendly and compact bus engine elaborately built by Yuchai, which integrates new European technologies--advanced four-valve technology, wet cylinder liner high support technology and lightweight manufacturing technology. 　

In May 2011, a total of 30 automobile and engine enterprises sent 36 outstanding engine models for intense competition. After three months' sign-up, screening and examination, 18 models of 15 enterprises were shortlisted for the field test at the Badaling Airport in Beijing. After a three-day field test, the review panel scored all shortlisted models based on five evaluation indicators including dynamism, technical advancement, energy conservation and emission reduction, market performance and field evaluation, and finalized the list of "China Heart" 2011 Ten Best Engines according to overall scores. Due to outstanding performance, YC6L-40 diesel engine also exclusively won the special award for "2011 Outstanding Commercial Engines". 　　

Since Auto Sports was founded in 2006, "China Heart" Ten Best Engines has been one of the most authoritative and fair professional awards in China's auto industry, and has been reputed as the "Oscar" in China's automotive engine industry. Annual "ten best engines" became a model evaluation indicator that drew the greatest attention from domestic automakers and consumers.
