YM ranks among "national technical innovation demonstration enterprises"

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Ministry of Finance (MOF) and China Enterprise Confederation jointly held the National Conference on Enterprise Technical Innovation at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. At the conference, plaques were presented to the first group of 55 national technical innovation demonstration enterprises accredited by the MIIT and the MOF. As a result, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) became the only enterprise from Guangxi and the only engine manufacturer that made the list. Lin Zhiqiang, assistant to general manager of YM and president of Yuchai Engineering Research Institute, was present and received the plaque.

The 55 accredited enterprises include famous companies that have made remarkable contributions in technical innovation from all walks of life throughout the country. This fully demonstrates YM's outstanding contributions to and pioneering role in technical innovation in the engine industry. This is another national qualification of YM after it won the qualification for the fourth group of pilot innovative enterprises from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and All China Federation of Trade Unions, and the qualification for key high-tech enterprises under National Torch Program from the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the MOST in 2010, and serves as a gift to Yuchai's 60th anniversary celebration. 　　

National technical innovation demonstration enterprises were accredited according to six basic standards--corporate core competitiveness, leading position, innovative ability, R & D investment, industrial leading and proprietary brand. These enterprises are administered dynamically and re-evaluated every three years to reconfirm qualified ones and cancel unqualified ones. In the coming three years, YM will win more preferential policy support from the State in such aspects as industry and tax, which is of positive significance to further improving the capacities of YM and Yuchai for technical progress and innovation.
