Foundry expert Sun Yaoxiang visits Yuchai for technical exchange

On June 21, Yuchai Foundry Society (YFS) invited Sun Yaoxiang, an expert at foundry and molding materials, to Yuchai for an academic exchange. Some 30 persons, including members of YFS, as well as professionals and technicians of the foundry, participated in the technical exchange.

Sun, a senior engineer and consultant of YFS, has long been engaged in foundry production and research, thus gaining rich practical experience and high attainments in molding technology. During the technical exchange, Sun and Yuchai's foundry technicians conducted a comparative analysis of molding materials of different manufacturers, and discussed the development of new molding sand and perfection of the means of sand testing. Also, Sun answered questions from the technicians of the foundry such as "dosing and mixing of molding materials" and "technological measures for controlling and improving the performance of molding sand".

Founded in 2009, YFS has been actively inviting technical masters in recent two years for in-depth technical exchanges as technical support for quality improvement. The move will not only help to strengthen Yuchai's foundry business and train a new generation of foundry experts for Yuchai, but also enhance Yuchai's influence in the foundry industry.
