XNA Guangxi office, YLG conclude strategic agreement

On December 8, the signing ceremony for the strategic agreement between Xinhua News Agency (XNA) Guangxi Office and Yuchai Logistics Group (YLG) was held at Guangxi Wharton International Hotel in Nanning. Shu Hua, chairman of the Commission of Industry and Information Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Sui Guohua, deputy mayor of the Nanjing Municipal People's Government; Long Songlin, director of XNA Guangxi Office and Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group were present and delivered speeches. 　

Under the strategic agreement, the two parties will jointly build the "China-ASEAN International Logistics Information Trading Center", develop China-ASEAN Logistics Index and introduce China-ASEAN Logistics Barometer to the world. China-ASEAN Logistics Index System will accurately reflect changes in demands in Chinese and ASEAN logistics markets, renovate the business modes of the logistics industry, guide international logistics resources and elements in converging to Nanning and Guangxi, promote the high-efficiency, low-carbon and green development of the logistics industry, and be of great demonstrative significance to integrating social logistics resources, reducing social logistics cost, promoting the formation of emerging logistics types, easing urban traffic and environmental pressure, conserving energy and reducing consumption.

According to sources, the data of China-ASEAN Logistics Index will be acquired, processed and collated through XNA's logistics information outlets around the world to comprehensively and accurately reflect logistics demands and trends of China and ASEAN countries. At the same time, the index will conduct a systematic and multi-angle study of all links and sectors of China-ASEAN logistics industry chain and industrial ecology to further perfect the industry chain and improve the market competitiveness of the logistics industry, especially logistics information production and trading and relevant services. 　

XNA is China's only national news agency as well as one of the world's most influential news agencies, which performs the function of collecting information as the mouthpiece and think bank of the Party and State. According to the requirements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, XNA independently developed the financial information platform "Xinhua 08", which focuses on intensifying collection of world financial and economic information and spread of China's market information, and is devoted to changing the situation that most financial information from major financial markets in the world is monopolized by Western information agencies.

YLG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yuchai Group. As a professional third-party logistics enterprise, YLG has established a nationwide service network and advanced information system, conducts business distribution from the perspective of supply chain logistics, including typical businesses such as logistics park, multimodal transport and special line logistics, and constantly explores and constructs core factors for sustainable development, thereby laying a solid industrial foundation for the two parties' cooperation in logistics information.

The settlement of "China-ASEAN International Logistics Information Trading Center" and "China-ASEAN Logistics Index System" in Nanning will serve as a major move for Guangxi to build an ASEAN-targeting regional business logistics base, boost China-ASEAN regional construction and economic development, lay a solid foundation for Yuchai to achieve the grand goal of achieving annual sales of RMB 100 billion in the "twelfth five-year" period, and present a gift for Yuchai's "60th anniversary".
