Interviewing group on China environmental protection tour visits Yuchai

On November 23, Zhang Wentai, vice chairman of the Environment Protection and Resources Conservation Committee of the National People's Congress, headed an interviewing group consisting of journalists with 19 central media outlets including Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily and CCTV to Yuhai for a survey. Qin Ruixiang, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Guangxi Autonomous Region People's Congress, visited Yuchai in company with the group. Ning Xingyong, deputy general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. and Guo Deming, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group warmly received the group.

Headed by Zhang, the interviewing group visited the heavy engine processing workshop, heavy engine assembling & commissioning workshop, sewage treatment stations and foundry center, inquiring into Yuchai's efforts in promoting industrial solid waste pollution control and integrated utilization of resources. Yuchai has always attached great importance to environmental treatment, thoroughly conducted technical renovation, actively advanced management innovation, strengthened industrial solid waste pollution control, and conducted dry treatment of grease and innocent treatment of dangerous waste to reduce pollutants; has accomplished the recycling of waste sand of casting to reduce solid waste; has cleaned and dried oily waste rag to reduce hazardous waste discharge; has popularized and utilized water conservation technology and accomplished water recycling, thus maximizing comprehensive utilization of resources, achieving good economic and social benefits, gaining high social and environmental recognition, enjoying high brand popularity and promoting the sustainable development of the enterprise. Zhang spoke highly of Yuchai's new achievements in promoting industrial solid waste pollution control and integrated recycling of resources. When seeing water recycled through the sewage treatment station was used to water flowers directly, Zhang was pleased and inquired into water recycling.    

Journalists showed great interest in Yuchai's practice of promoting industrial solid waste pollution control and integrated recycling of resources, considered Yuchai as the worthy "Chinese capital of green power", recorded what they saw and heard with video cameras, cameras, recorders and pens, and interviewed Yuchai's workers about their concerns.
