YZMP wins special fund for emerging strategic industrial projects

Recently, Yuchai Zhuhai Marine Power Co., Ltd. (YZMP) declared the "new large-power marine diesel engine R & D and manufacturing project" as one of "Zhuhai's major emerging strategic industrial projects supported by special fund in 2011".

Launched last August, the project, the first of its kind declared by YZMP, drew close attention from corporate leaders. Huang Zhenping, deputy general manager of YZMP, in charge of project declaration, organized the relevant staff of the technical department, manufacturing engineering department and management department to make up a work group to formulate declaration materials. Despite pressing schedules and heavy task, the group members worked around the clock, kept formulating, modifying and supplementing materials, and eventually submitted materials upon frequent communication with relevant departments of the Science, Industry, Trade and Information Technology Bureau of Zhuhai (SITITBZ). On March 31, 2011, the project passed the Q & A session of the provincial expert panel organized by SITITBZ, and stood out of more than 70 declaring enterprises as one of the 15 subsidized projects.
