Yan Ping attends YSTA's "new technology and sample engine ignition" ceremony

Inspiring news kept pouring in with the Spring Festival around the corner. On the afternoon of January 13, the Society for Internal Combustion Engine, Yuchai Science and Technology Association (YSTA) held the "new technology and sample engine ignition" ceremony, exhibiting new technologies and products developed in recent years, and igniting several newly-developed sample engines.    

Among attending leaders were Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group and Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM); Wu Qiwei, general manager of YM; Zhong Yuwei and Liang Qingyan, deputy general manager of YM; Shen Jie, chief engineer of Yuchai Group; Lin Zhiqiang, chief engineer of YM and chairman of the Society for Internal Combustion Engine; and Chen Jinyuan, chairman of Yuchai Technician Association.    

Lin introduced new technology and product series on display in the showroom. The 15 sample engines on show, including light, medium and heavy engines and marine engines, primarily used new technologies such as mechanical supercharging, intelligent thermal management, power turbine energy recovery, gasoline-diesel hybrid engine technology and dual-fuel engine technology. They are results of the wisdom and painstaking efforts of the R & D staff of the society, and gained high praise from corporate leaders including Yan.

Lin introduces newly developed products to Yan

Yan said, Yuchai's R & D team has always been a team worthy of our pride, Yuchai's future competitiveness and market position depends on whether we can maintain high R & D level. To accomplish that, we should have a strong R & D team. Establishment of the Society for Internal Combustion Engine has created a favorable platform for building a strong R & D team. The company will spare no efforts to support the society's activities, hopes the society will better shoulder the mission of training talents, make good use of activities, enhance cohesion based on duties, display cultural essence and wisdom in product R & D and improve Yuchai's overall R & D level, hopes all R & D staff will do assiduous researches, speed up R & D and stress project development, will amply reward contributive R & D staff to motivate them to develop more competitive products.
