Yuchai products shine in GSTW

Recently, the six-day 21st Guangxi Science and Technology Week (GSTW) & Guangxi New Technology and Product Fair (GNTPF), themed by "Improving Capacity for Independent Innovation, Promoting Transformation of Development Mode", opened at Guangxi Exhibition Hall.   

The event included four sectors: the opening ceremony of GSTW, GNTPF, science and technology forum, and science and technology events. GNTPF involved ten feature exhibitions including Guangxi 100-billion-yuan Industrial Science and Technology Achievement Exhibition, Exhibition on Achievements in Construction and Development of High-tech Industrial Development (Parks) Zones, Exhibition on Science and Technology Achievements of Cities in Guangxi and Guangxi Invention Campaign & Outstanding Patent Achievement Exhibition. 2,000 exhibits were on show.    

After long-term and elaborate preparations, Yuchai selected scientific and technological achievements in the "eleventh five-year" period and the opening year of the "twelfth five-year" period. At the seminar, Yuchai set up a green power hall and exhibited five models including commercial vehicle hybrid powertrain system and national V gas engine. Shen Jie, chief engineer of Yuchai Group and Wan Shenglan, Party secretary of Yuchai R & D Center gave instructions in hall set-up.    

Leaders, including Wei Chaoan, deputy Party secretary of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Lan Tianli, vice chairman of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, visited Yuchai's exhibition hall, listened to Shen's introduction in earnest, spoke highly of Yuchai's innovative achievements and expected Yuchai to further improve its innovation strength.

Besides, Yuchai exhibited 4D mini excavator engine, the biggest highlight of Yulin Pavilion. At Guangxi Invention Campaign & Outstanding Patent Achievement Exhibition, Yuchai exhibited the object of the patent "four-valve diesel cylinder cover unloading slot" that had won China Patent Award and the cylinder blocks of car engines. The section displayed the moves, highlights and effects of Guangxi's innovation and invention campaign, as well as 79 outstanding patented technologies and products, attracting a lot of visitors and inquirers. Most visitors showed great enthusiasm and concern about Yuchai's exhibited patents.     

According to sources, YC6L diesel engine R & D and popularization won the special award of Guangxi for science and technology contributions in 2011. This is a result of Yuchai's close attention to technology, product and management innovation, and return to Yuchai's persistence in independent innovation.
