Yuchai harvests 1.5 bln worth of contracts from SME Expo

On October 23, the 8th Small and Medium Enterprises Expo (Yulin China) (SME Expo) opened at Yulin International Convention & Exhibition Center (YICEC). Yuchai participated as the largest exhibitor.

Early on the morning of October 23, Yan headed to Yuchai hall to inquire into Yuchai's exhibition preparations. Subsequently, he attended the opening ceremony of SME Expo and was seated at the front row of the podium as an important guest of honor. At the opening ceremony, Yuchai signed three projects with a total value of over RMB 1.5 billion. 　

Among other attending leaders were Tin Aung Myint Oo, vice president of the Federal Government of Burma; Li Yizhong, former minister of industry and information technology and vice chairman of the Economic Committee of the CPPCC; and Hou Yunchun, president of the Development Research Center of the State Council.

Following the opening ceremony, Tin Aung Myint Oo, Li, Hou, Jin Xiangjun, secretary of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee and Han visited Yuchai hall, inquiring into YC6T large-power engine series and the country's first Euro VI diesel engine. Guo Deming, deputy Party secretary of Yuchai Group, introduced Yuchai's exhibits. The visitors were impressed by Yuchai engines, acclaiming them as technically leading green products. 

As a strategic partner of SME Expo, Yuchai fielded a strong lineup every year. This year's exposition coincided with Yuchai's 60th anniversary, for which Yuchai had made elaborate preparations to highlight the exposition. 

Highlight 1: largest hall. This time, Yuchai hall includes an indoor part and an outdoor part. The outdoor hall was located on the right of YICEC. Entering the outdoor hall, you will not miss the grand gate to Yuchai hall. The indoor hall was designed for Yuchai's 60-year achievement exhibition, which accounts for a half of the exhibition area of the second floor. The hall not only displayed Yuchai's engines at different stages, but also showcased the "China Power" legend created by Yuchai with great efforts over the six decades. 

Highlight 2: supplier participation. Unlike previous editions, the upstream suppliers for Yuchai engines and construction machinery also participated in this year's exposition. Suppliers like Bosch, Guilin Fuda and Binzhou Piston brought their core products, demonstrating the role of Yuchai suppliers in driving Yulin's local economy. 

Highlights 3: new exhibits. At the exposition, Yuchai exhibited products from subsidiaries such as Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM), Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI), Yuchai Special Vehicle Co., Ltd., Yuchai Power Machinery Co., Ltd. (YPM) and Yuchai Machinery Parts Co., Ltd, of which the country's first Euro VI diesel engine YC6L-60 developed by YM, the wide-body mining truck YCK360 developed by YHI and the sugarcane combine YC4GZ-100 developed by YPM made their debut and drew wide attention from exhibitors and professional visitors.

According to sources, SME Expo 2011 set up 1,300 booths, including 550 indoor ones and 750 outdoor ones. The exposition targeted electromechanical exhibits from famous domestic and overseas manufacturers, focused on Yuchai's high-end and supporting products, fully displayed Yuchai's major achievements over the six decades and development prospect, and highlighted the stance of "Global Yuchai, China Power" to create a harmonious environment for the development of large-sized enterprises and small and medium-sized ones.
