Yuchai presents "Yuchai Scholarship" , holds recruitment presentation at HRBEU

On the afternoon of October 14, the presentation ceremony for "Yuchai Scholarship" and Yuchai 2012 recruitment presentation for Harbin Engineering University (HRBEU) was held at HRBEU Qihang Activity Center. 

Wei Lin, deputy Party secretary and vice president of HRBEU; Shang Xianli, secretary-general of Harbin Engineering University Education Development Foundation; Yu Xingwu, chief of the Division of Recruitment and Employment of HRBEU; Lu Dongshi, chief of the Division of Student Work of HRBEU; Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group; Guan Min, general manager of the HR Department of Yuchai Group; Cai Xiaohong, vice president of Yuchai Engineering Research Institute and deputy director of Yuchai Friction and Lubrication Research Institute; Huang Zhenping, deputy general manager of Yuchai Zhuhai Marine Power Co., Ltd., scholarship winners, as well as more than 500 students from HRBEU and neighboring universities were present. 　

Xia Baohui, deputy chief of the Division of Student Work of HRBEU, presided over the award ceremony. Lv read the list of winners. Wei and Gu presented a sum of RMB 120,000 to 36 winners of Yuchai Scholarship in 2011, including Sun Bo, Yang Shun and Zhang Pan.

He said, he, together with several classmates, organized a research on Methane Machinery Sewage Source Heat Pump System, but was confronted with a financial strain at first, when Yuchai set up "Innovation Scholarship" at HRBEU to make their research progress smoothly and win the second prize in the 4th National Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Competition for College Students. Without Yuchai's support, the team would not have succeeded. The team is just an epitome of a number of innovation teams in the College of Power and Energy Engineering of HRBEU, he and other prizewinners will bear Yuchai's support in mind and repay it in the future. 

Gu delivered a speech at the award ceremony, saying Yuchai set up "Yuchai Scholarship" at HRBEU, the 2011 edition includes Yuchai grant-in-aid and Yuchai innovation scholarship, supported projects achieved brilliant results in major national competitions such as the National Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Competition for College Students, Electronic Innovation Design Competition for College Students and Honda China Eco-Racer Competition, hopefully, supported students will renew efforts and step into the society after graduation to work hard and repay the society with their knowledge and intelligence. 　

Yuchai-HRBEU cooperation has become a domestic model in school-enterprise cooperation.

In recent years, Yuchai has constantly extended its industrial fields and overall industry chain. In 2009, Yuchai marched into the field of large medium-speed marine diesel engines, and successively established the Marine Electric Department of Yuchai Engineering Research Institute, Yuchai Machinery Ziyang Engine Co., Ltd. and Yuchai Zhuhai Marine Power Co., Ltd. In the process of developing the manufacturing capacity for a full series of high-speed, medium-speed and low-speed marine engines, Yuchai is short of talents in this field, and needs a multitude of outstanding talents for Yuchai's large medium-speed marine diesel engine project. Besides, Yuchai has robust demands for talents in power engineering, marine engineering, electric engineering, machinery, economic management, etc. HRBEU is a national key university with a graduate school included in the National "Program 211", a major talent training and scientific research base in the field of shipping, naval equipment, marine development and nuclear applications, as well as a main Chinese force of scientific foundation and application research of ships. The university has majors urgently needed by Yuchai, and has cultivated a multitude of outstanding students. 　

At the presentation, Gu told his story of education and work, explained the reason for choosing Yuchai from such aspects as its training and employment mechanism, humanistic environment and stage for growth, welcomed graduates to Yuchai to work hard with their knowledge and intelligence, develop their career space and contribute to the invigoration of the national industry. 　　

Gu's sincere and impressive speech struck a chord with students. 　　

Also, Gu and Guan interacted with students, answering their questions about Yuchai's development plan, salaries and benefits, career development, talent training mechanism, corporate prospect, etc. 　

Following the presentation, Han Chunxu, a marine engine major from HRBEU, said the passionate speeches of Yuchai's leaders have deepened his understanding of Yuchai, he felt Yuchai is a pioneering and promising enterprise and hoped to join Yuchai for career success. 　　

Ma Zhe, another marine engine major from HRBEU, considered Yuchai attractive as the domestic leading diesel engine manufacturer, particularly recognized Yuchai's training and promotion channel of differentiating professional talents from management talents and conducting cross training, and said he has submitted application materials to Yuchai and is willing to be selected by Yuchai. 　.

According to statistics, as of October 15, Yuchai has received over 10,000 copies of online application materials from college students across the country.
