The First Intelligent Marine Low-Speed Engine W-6X35 of Yuchai Marine Power Was Officially Shipped

On March 23, the first intelligent marine low-speed engine W-6X35 produced by Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. was officially delivered to customers. On that day, the shipped ceremony of the engine was held in Fushan Industrial Park in Zhuhai. Jiang Shihong, chairman of Yuchai Marine Power issued the certificate of conformity of engines to representatives of shipowners and declared the official shipping of W-6X35 engine.

Wang Qingli, member of Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee and deputy mayor, Chen Guangjun, director of Zhuhai Investment Promotion Bureau, Zhou Cheng, deputy secretary in Doumen District in Zhuhai, Yang Huabing, member of Doumen District Committee, standing deputy chief executive and standing vice director of Fushan Management Committee, Shen Jie, general engineer of Yuchai Group and Zhou Sunhai, vice CEO, etc. witnessed this historical moment.

Wang Qingli congratulated the first shipping of Yuchai Marine Power on behalf of Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee and municipal government. He said, as the important symbolic project of the advanced manufacturing industry in Doumen District and even in the western region in Zhuhai, the Yuchai Marine Power project's establishment and put into operation plays an important role in facilitating to build the equipment manufacturing industry base and achieving the industrial high-end development and dislocation development in Zhuhai. The shipping of the first machine indicates that Yuchai Marine Power has full set of matched marine and oceanic engineering capability in the Pearl River estuary and Zhuhai has become the central base of the marine power in the South China Region. Zhuhai Municipal Party Committee will support the development of Yuchai Group as always and continue to strengthen cooperation with Yuchai Group in various fields.

In the speech, Zhou Sunhai said for many years, 70% of the large-power engines in the shipbuilding industry in China are imported from abroad, which seriously restricts the development of the marine industry in China; today, as the pioneer of Chinese green power, Yuchai actively joins in the international competition, by cooperating with Wartsila Corporation, the top marine diesel engine in the world, successfully enters into the low-speed marine market, gradually forms the full series of high, medium and low-speed marine engine products chain and makes every effort to build the professional marine power, being the professional supplier of the marine power. The first low-speed W-6X35 in the world which will be shipped is just the first low-speed machine with the new design model in the world produced by the newly built plant in China, opening a new chapter for the development of Chinese marine industry. At the same time, its shipping also indicates that Yuchai Marine Power is successfully accepted by the market and customers. 

Wang Guixing, representative of shipowners delivered a speech and claimed that in the modern world, with the fast development of the economy and society and the quick progress of science and technology, the oceanic organizations have more and stricter requirements on the emission of marine diesel engines. For the diesel engines shipped by Yuchai Marine Power this time, with common efforts of Classification Society, engineers of Wartsila and all staffs, all performance indexes and parameters reach to the best status and meet various strict requirements of Classification Society. We hope that in shipbuilding projects in the future, to cooperate with Yuchai Marine Power again, so as to achieve the win-win situation and create the glory. 　

Yang Huabing indicated on the shipping ceremony that, since the Yuchai Marine Power project is located in Fushan Industrial Park in 2009, it has been refreshing the history in such aspects as plant construction, project starting and product delivery, etc. It is also the pioneer that Fushan Industrial Park builds full series of marine power. Doushan District Committee and the management committee of Fushan Industrial Park will continue to serve the enterprise and build a good investment environment and spare no effort to help Yuchai Marine Power to be stronger.

After the ceremony was over, such leaders and guests as Wang Qingli also visited the installation and commissioning workshop of Yuchai Marine Power and investigated the construction status of Yuchai Marine Power. 　

As it is reported that W-6X 35 diesel engines possess the advanced energy conservation technology. Adopting three adjustment modes, it flexibly selects the control parameters of oil injection and vent valve through the software control system of the main engine without changing the mechanical parts of the main engine and the reliability of the main engine. At the same time, the oil supply unit of the main engine adopts the characteristic that the oil consumption and supply system and servo oil supply system are separately design, so that the stability of the main engine is stronger.
