Guangxi's writers collect creation materials at Yuchai

This year marks Yuchai's 60th anniversary. Recently, a delegation of over 20 famous writers of Guangxi, including Huang Dechang, Lin Wanli, Peng Xiong, Huang Peihua and Fan Yiping, was invited to Yuchai for a three-day material collection activity, with the aim of reflecting on Yuchai's growth over the six decades, observing Yuchai from writers' perspective, writing a collection of fine essays inspired by Yuchai' stories, and condensing them into Essays of Yuchai as a gift to Yuchai's 60th anniversary.

On August 11, the delegation, upon arrival at Yuchai, headed to the workshop to learn and experience Yuchai's manufacturing environment, degree of automation and workers' demeanor, thereby preliminary accumulating first-hand data and creation materials.

Feeling Yuchai's temperature

On the morning of August 12, the delegation was invited to the release ceremony and seminar for China Power. The book, inspired by Yuchai's stories, depicts its development process of growing from a workshop on the southwestern border of China six decades ago into China's largest internal combustion engine manufacturing base at present, from manufacturing and processing simple agricultural implements to creating leading and applicable advanced engines, and displays its six decades of ups and downs to the world. Through the ceremony and seminar, the delegation deeply felt Yuchai's achievements in corporate culture building, learned Yuchai's growth over 60 months and accumulated second-hand data for future creation.

Feeling Yuchai's pulse 

On the afternoon of August 12, the delegation held a symposium with Yuchai's representatives including model workers and management cadres. Li Tiansheng and Guo Deming, deputy secretaries of the Party Committee of Yuchai Group were present. At the symposium, the delegation watched the promotional video of Yuchai. Li introduced Yuchai's brand, product spectrum, customers, customer service mode as well as low-carbon and environment-friendly new energy products. During discussion, the writers of the delegation exchanged ideas in depth with Yuchai's attendees on topics such as talent introduction, team building, youth marriage, humanistic care, corporate culture building, technical innovation and product sale. Yuchai's representatives, including Ye Bin, Lin Jiejun, Huang Yi and Deng Bin, in light of actualities of respective units, answered the writers' questions in detail. Lin, in simple words, based on his growth experience, spoke glowingly of Yuchai's profound corporate culture and great care for staff and expressed staff loyalty and gratitude to the great family of Yuchai, touching all the writers present. Through the symposium, the delegation further felt Yuchai's pulse, explored creation materials in depth and preliminarily determined interviewees and creation subjects.

Blending into Yuchai's soul

On August 13, the writers of the delegation, based on respective creation subjects, invited Yuchai's technicians, technologists and salespersons for in-depth interviews to find out the details of Yuchai from various perspectives and levels, and to keenly feel the spirit and soul of Yuchai in them by communicating with them, thus wrapping up the material collection activity.
