Yuchai Actively Perform the Corporate Social Responsibility which drew extensive Attentions

From March 20 to 23, the 9th Sino-Swedish Corporate Social Responsibility Workshop, jointly initiated by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and Embassy of Sweden in China, has started in Nanning. Yuchai has actively performed the corporate social responsibility and the useful experience of achieving sustainable development has attracted the attentions of its trainees.    

In the afternoon, March 22, Gao Rujie, Director of the Division of Macro-economy, the Development of General Economic Affairs, Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, and Jin Meilan, Project Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility Center, Embassy of Sweden in China have led more than 50 trainees to investigate the subsidiary of Yuchai Group in Nanning-Guangxi Yuchai Special Purpose Automobile Co., Ltd. Guo Deming, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Yuchai Group, has introduced the performance of corporate social responsibility by Yuchai to the guests.

Through all the time, Yuchai has integrated corporate social responsibility into daily management in earnest, actively participated in the social responsibility activities, established corporate social responsibility institution to continuously promote works of corporate social responsibility, such as officially joining in United Nations Global Compact in 2008, taking the lead in releasing the first report of sustainable development in combustion motor industry in China and releasing the report of corporate sustainable development in Beijing in 4 consecutive years; successfully researched and developed the first diesel motor which can meet the emission standards of State IV, State V and Europe VI in China with a view to providing green product and striving to become the controller of the biggest mobile pollution sources; signed the letter of undertaking corporate social responsibility with suppliers, service provider, customer and other interested parties and adopted the win-win mode with mutual progress and development to jointly perform the corporate social responsibility; carried out several public welfare activities of "Giving Warm and Love". By now, Yuchai has invested more than RMB 600 million Yuan into education, health, environmental protection, charity, culture, sports and other public welfare activities.    

Yuchai actively performing the social responsibility with actions has been recognized and complimented by the society. It once honored with the "China CSR Special Award", "Contribution Award of 20 Years of Hope Project in Guangxi", "Advanced Group of Spring Buds Program in Guangxi", "Advanced Working Group of Hope Project in Yulin", Special Award for the "Supplier"of corporate social responsibility, "Golden Bee Responsible Procurement Prize"and listed in the top 100 of "CSR".        

The trainees were impressed by all the works initiatively and actively conducted by Yuchai with a view to performing the corporate social responsibility.    

Scene of Training Course   

The content of this training has been divided into three subjects, including the outline of corporate social responsibility, corporate social responsibility and company development, corporate social responsibility and employee-employer relations. Yuchai Group and its subsidiaries have assigned representatives to attend this training.
